An Apostille is a sticker pasted on the back side of a document for the member countries of the Hague Convention. On October 5, 1961, many nations came together to create a simplified method of Attestation/Legalization of documents for universal recognition. This group of countries is known as the Hague Convention. Adopted a document called Apostille that is internationally recognized by all member nations.
An apostille is required for each person willing to travel outside of India to the member countries of the Hague Convention for work, permanent migration, higher education, business creation or for other purposes, the host country must recognize it as a genuine document. All documents must be authenticated/witnessed by the relevant state authorities.
First all the certificates will be sent to the SHD/HRD for verification, once the verification received from the State Home Department/ Human Resource Department MEA (MINISTRY OF EXTERNAL AFFAIRS) will paste the Apostille sticker on the back side of the original certificate.
